Just a few hours left before Christmas as I sit here writing this while the fam watches ‘It’s a Wonderful Life.’ There was an awesome quote under the picture of George’s dad: All you can take with you is that which you’ve given away. This is exactly the idea behind our little brand as well. Doing something big that focuses more on giving than getting.
Sitting here makes me think about how far we’ve come since my brothers and I really started pursuing the dream in February. We had no name, no logo, no site, just this simple invention we made and the passion to do something big. We did a total of five designs in 2011, each of them taking a crazy amount of time to coordinate and make perfect. We went over dozens of different packaging options, ultimately settling on black foil resealable bags for mailing and some gorgeous boxes done by my good friend Carolina if we decide to go retail.
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us for 2012. We’ve already produced our first five straps for the year and they’re amazing. The Collabo’s we’ve already put together involve some of our favorite things as well: Exotic cars, art, snowboarding, biking and skateboarding and video games. The best part is that we’re just getting started!
If you follow what we’re up to on Facebook, you may have seen the F&F t shirt.

I’m so excited to finally be putting this shirt into production, it’s a huge step for us. Just like the F&F strap, we won’t be selling these to the public. After talking it over with the bros, we decided that we’re going to give it away to 100 of our biggest supporters. Each shirt will be made to order by invite only, individually numbered 001-100 with gold tags. Getting an invite is super simple. Starting January 1st, there will be a “referred by” box on our order form. Have 5 different people that order a strap put your name in that box and we’ll invite you to get your custom F&F shirt absolutely free.
F&F has always meant friends and family. There are so many of you that have done so much for us and this is our way of showing that we care.
Merry Christmas from the Kuipers Family!
